I’ve been reading Tarot for as long as I can remember, and my go-to for readings is the classic
Rider-Waite, but I have worked with an embarrassingly large number of decks—because why not? Some
of my favorites are the Goddess Tarot, the unapologetically bold Cosmic Tribe Tarot, an intense Egyptian
Tarot (definitely not for the faint of heart), and the Tarot de Marseille, lovingly restored by none
other than Alejandro Jodorowsky.
Speaking of Jodorowsky—he’s been a huge influence on me. A complicated, illuminated genius,
who has been a foundational figure in my life, even though not specifically on Tarot, but since that’s
totally his jam I thought I’d mention him. And he’s from Chile so yay! From the Atacama
Desert more specifically, so extra yay!
