Who Am I, and
Why Should You Care?

I’m Maritza Schäfer, a lifelong witch, transformation coach, and the creator of the Liberation Magic Method. Born into a lineage of Indigenous Chilean and Italian magic, I’ve been a practicing bruja my whole life. Magic runs in my blood. My grandmother initiated me into this path when I was a girl, and I’ve been practicing ever since. I grew up knowing that the unseen world is just as real (if not more real) than the one we see.

But magic alone isn’t enough—it’s how you use it that changes everything.

That’s why I spent decades working in social justice, leadership, and consulting, helping people and organizations create real change. I earned a Masters degree from Cornell University, led restructuring projects at major organizations, coached global leaders, and helped world-changers get out of their own way. Through it all, I discovered one truth: magic works—but only when you know how to work it.

I created Bruja School because I was tired of seeing spiritual spaces that were either too fluffy to be useful or too disconnected from real life to matter. Here, I blend ancient wisdom, modern psychology, and real-world strategy to help you actually get what you want.

A Lifetime of Witchcraft & Healing – Trained by my grandmother, I’m also a certified Reiki Master, Family Constellation Practitioner, Tarot reader, and energy worker with over 30 years of experience in emotional growth techniques, spiritual development tools, spellcasting, healing, ritual, intuitive readings, shamanic work, vision quests, and past lives work. This isn’t a side hobby—it’s my lineage, my expertise, and my way of life.
